Here are some life updates:
Good: I am signing up to be a vendor at Colfax Railroad Days September 13th and 14th! If anyone is in the area and would like to stop by and visit or get some original art, that would be awesome! I will be hard at work the next few weeks making new paintings and products to fill my booth with. I sold most of my paintings at the last Railroad Days I did and have yet to rebuild that stock.
Bad: You may recall that I could not get my insulin pump prescription refilled in January. That is still an ongoing issue. I’ve made around 50 phone calls and had about 5 doctor’s appointments in that time and still do not have my insulin pump. My health has not been good these past few months.
Good: As of a week ago, my insurance sent me a letter officially saying that my insulin pump was approved to be covered again. The whole ordeal has been such an inconceivable hassle, I’m not going to get my hopes up until I actually have the supplies in my hand, but it is something, and that’s a relief.
Good: Last week, my little brother moved to the area from Washington state. My family is spread over thousands of miles and two continents and to have one of my siblings nearby is so exciting! We both like the outdoors and it will be very good for both of us to have a buddy to explore the Sierras with.
Very Bad: One of my uncles is experiencing heart and kidney failure. He’s had an extremely difficult life and I don’t even know what to say. It’s tough. Good: My mom is flying out from VA last minute to be with my uncle and help him through medical stuff. I’m looking forward to spending time with her. I want to buckle down and finish as many commissions as I can so I’ll be able to relax and enjoy her visit.
