Which commenter named Geoffrey? I think I know, but can someone dig up the comment source for that? And is this the first mention in the comic? I dub it, canon! It was Elsabet on page 16×18! Thank you, ValiantArcher! Also I dubbed it canon 6 years ago, but now it is double canon.
There is another opportunity for a reader’s creation to be canonized because I am holding a Patreon Mask Design Contest. Basic details for that one: Patreon supporters design a mask based on Velvare’s next outfit. Deadline: June 22nd. Prize: The winning mask will be in the comic, plus the winner will receive a physical ACEO card with a marker sketch with their choice of character from The Silver Eye.
But I also want to do a version for non-patrons, so:
General Velvare Mask Design Contest!
- Design a mask using the handy Velvare’s face template (you can do it digitally, or print it and draw over it by hand)
- Email the design to Drawingsworth@gmail.com Specify that it is for the General Mask Design Contest. (I am trying not to be confused by having two similar contests going on at once)
- Deadline June 30th
- The winner will get a digital sketch featuring a character from The Silver Eye of their choosing
- You can enter as many masks as you like!

I have very good news! My insulin pump that stopped being covered in February due to insurance nightmares has FINALLY been approved to be covered again! (I kinda won’t believe it till I see it. I need to go to the pharmacy to pick it up, but I wanted to get the page published first) I don’t know how many phone calls I made and how much conflicting information I was told. It is very relieving.
