I’m sorry, as a native Floridian, it is in my contract that if there is snow, I must adventure in it. It’s been very distracting along with a thousand other things. It’s been such a long time since a page was such a slog to finish, but it’s done!

I am back in California, I have snow and snow Gwladys. My brother and niece have taken over for me in Virginia, and our trips had a few days overlap, which was very nice.
The day after I left, my mom was hospitalized from complications from cancer treatment. She had to stay there for most of the week to be monitored. It might mean the entire treatment process could be set back. Everyone just wants to be on the other side of this. There are going to be a lot of tests and consultations to determine what’s best going forward. She got to go home friday, so that is a big thing to be grateful for.
My reading glasses fell out of my pocket so I retraced my steps and actually found them again—they were half way down a ravine in the middle of the woods. There’s another good thing. Trying to find the good things.
