Life update:
1 day this week was not bad. I went up the mountain to explore abandoned icy tunnels and it was an exciting winter adventure. I’ll leave in a few days to go help take care of my mom in VA. I’m glad I got some winter mountain time before I go.
Yesterday both my grandpa and my college roommate ended up in ERs. Grandpa is still in the hospital so he can be monitored. Diabetes and the healthcare system have both been a huge pain recently, and insurance is being a hassle at the worst of times. None of it is fun in the least.
But the residual joy from neat frozen places did help balance things out a bit.
