I hope you all had a nice Christmas! I hope you didn’t stare at your loved ones so intently that you walked into a column!

Mine had highs and lows and much more of the latter. It was like a variety pack of different ways one can feel disappointed, or have patience tested. I am looking forward to putting it behind me and moving forward. I will be staying in Yosemite for New Years and my heart needs to be in Yosemite very much right now.

A huge winter storm came through which was exciting. I’ve lost power before from storms, but this was the first time one took out cell service too. There is a tree down on the power line to our house and I think it’ll be at least a week before it gets fixed.

I hiked down to the waterfall that I found. I’ve been trying to keep that trail clear of sticks and limbs, but there are about two dozen fallen trees across it, and we are talking giant pine trees that leave root craters 15 feet in diameter. If I am to do anything about it I will certainly need to learn how to wield a chainsaw. Does anyone need fresh pine?

Oh, and as someone with Berlyne’s hair I just need to address that it did not un-frizz on its own. There must be something supernatural in the air that helped it.
