Berlyne is actually super grateful that Apen was locked up through most of last chapter. She didn’t have to worry about him getting hurt, and she’s glad he didn’t have to witness her in peril. On the flip side Apen’s like, “MY GF NEEDED ME. NOAH HOW DARE YOU.”
Berlyne’s patching Noah’s shirt as she said she would, and Chara is rebinding his ribs, which I’m sure are hurting a ton right now. Noah has a scar on his chest that is both relevant to a scene later in this chapter AND the beginning pages I’ve redrawn. That is totally the only reason he’s shirtless here, it’s for the plot. It’s for the storytelling. It’s not because my sister Alyssa pressured me at gunpoint to have him be shirtless.
